Long Journey, Small Steps

Today is my second full day without artificial sweetener. I was motivated
by my brother and sister-in-law and I had been thinking about "quitting" for
a while. I have a friend whose 24 year old daughter has MS and artificial
sweeteners have an extreme adverse effect on that illness. I figured it
couldn't hurt. I bought a 1/2 gallon water jug so I have no excuse about
getting my water in, and found crystallized lemon, no added anything to
give the water flavor. I know I have been dependent on what will be known
as A.S. from here on in, so I have to learn to look to more natural substances.
I'm excited because it can't do anything but good. PS booked my 10th wedding
for this year. Not bad huh?

It may take awhile to find out all the benefits of completely cleaning out your system from the effects of artificial sweetener. I started keeping notes on the changes, good and bad, week by week. Some of the MS symptoms increased drastically within a week of stopping use of any artificial sweetener but all the other symptoms have lessened to the point that they are not ruling my life anymore. Going through the withdrawal is more than worth dealing with one lingering issue as all the other problems become less and less and I know this is taking some time to cleanse the bad stuff that has accumulated in my system over the years. One day at a time as with all recovery. Good for you to want to take care of yourself!! Wow, 10th wedding already booked and it is only end of May. You are awesome!

You totally rock! Good on you for making the change. I've watched TechnoBabe heal in real time, and while it hasn't always been easy to watch (like someone recovering from being poisoned), she is slowly getting her equilibrium back.

We love you and wish you all the best, and we miss you playing "S-H-I-T"

Sweetie, you've REALLY got to pick up a newspaper. So much going on in the world and you're worried about artificial sweetener? Get a life.

Sounds like Azoid has never had to go through detox from something in the system as devastating as Aspertame or other artificial sweetener. So good for Azoid, but for the rest of us dealing with the MS-like symptoms and going through the pain of detox, we weren't smart enough to keep away from the accumulating poisons. We can appreciate each others opinions and encourage free speech and honest comments.

Newspaper? What's that?

Your ignorance and short-sightedness, together with your confusion about why the post was written, must be because you're a major consumer - and sufferer - of artificial sweeteners. Why else would you make such a ridiculous comment?
